Launch of Champions of Change Coalition
15-year report

Consult Australia Champions of Change

The Champions of Change Coalition released a comprehensive 15-year impact report on 27 June, with 250 CEO and board-level leaders publicly reaffirming their commitment to advancing workplace gender equality across Australia.

The landmark report coincides with Australia achieving its highest-ever ranking in the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Report 2025, placing 13th out of 148 countries—a significant improvement reflecting sustained leadership efforts across sectors.

Highlights include:

  • 250 CEO and board-level leaders recommitting to lead on inclusive gender equality as a business, economic, societal and human rights imperative
  • Details of the Coalition’s impact so far and shared priorities to 2030
  • A comprehensive review of strategies and actions led by the Coalition over the past 15 years
  • National data tracking progress towards inclusive gender equality in the workplace, developed with guidance from our Member the Australian Bureau of Statistics
  • How the Coalition is responding to conversations about the role and value of workplace gender equality strategies.

Results include increased representation of women in leadership, greater transparency on gender pay gaps, expanded support for flexibility and care, and stronger safety, respect and inclusion across workplaces.

The report shows what’s possible when leaders step up and act together. It also reinforces that Members will protect what’s been achieved, tackle the barriers that remain, and tap into industry and technological advancements to accelerate progress towards our vision for inclusive gender equality across our workplaces by 2030.
